The 45° bottom angle creates a deeper coffee bed and extends the contact time between water and grounds, which enhances sweetness, depth and layered flavor. The flower shape improves flow control and allows grounds to expand fully during blooming and extraction.

Internal flower ribs carve out space between the filter paper and the inner wall of the dripper. This air layer prevents the paper from sticking, helping to avoid stalling and uneven extraction. Sharper ribs near the bottom hole promote a smooth and steady drawdown, even when brewing multiple cups or using slightly finer grind sizes.
